It is not the easiest to talk about oneself, but I will speak about my journey. I have been shown that to be vulnerable and stand out, to be judged, to show who you really are is true Authenticity. It has taken me years of wandering the earth, seeking, learning and feeling my way through this human life to bring me to this moment. I spent many years chronically fatigued, stressed and anxious, tangled in a sticky web of thoughts and detrimental self-talk, addicted to one thing or another as a means to try to cope.  I had a tough time focusing.  I would fall asleep almost immediately after picking up a book or putting on a movie.  I was dragging myself through life, and at the time, I didn’t even realize change was an option.

And then, came a huge awakening.

In an instant, and then another one after that, and so on and so forth, veils began to lift from in front of my awareness.  I began to see things from a whole new perspective and started on my own journey of self-healing and wholeness, which is what has landed me here today!

Through it, I discovered firsthand that feeling great, being balanced and well, effortlessly surpassing goals, and having a life that is deeply aligned, rich, fulfilling, and flowing happens as a byproduct of being in the body.  It doesn’t happen from trying, pushing, forcing, yearning, wanting, thinking, or manipulating.  It’s not about anything outside of yourself.  When you come inside and tend to what’s present, everything else naturally falls into place, in the most beautiful of ways.

MY STORY

My natal land is Uruguay. A small, charming country off South America, where I lived in a small village, spending hours a day in direct contact with nature and bare feet on the soil, and long hours of swimming in rivers and creeks. I was very fortunate to get to grow up surrounded by Curanderas/Shaman—medicine women and men. When I was 6 years old the joyful and innocent life was interrupted with an unbearable loss of my beloved birth mother. I experienced first-hand the deep emptiness, profound sadness and everlasting grief. This experience shaped my desire to live with joy, peace, to nurture kindness, and to support deeper connection on all levels.

A PIVOTAL MOMENT CAME WHEN I REALIZED THAT IN ORDER TO CREATE OUTER CHANGE, WE HAVE TO FIRST CHANGE WITHIN.

I needed to seek out my own tendency for violence in thoughts, judgement, disconnection, jealously & victim behavior. I recognized that I needed to take a different tact, and this showed up for me in the form of shamanic practices. I was 12 years old when I first got initiated by a Priestess, Maestra Beatriz Do Ode, in the linage of Nacion Batuque Candomblé African/Brazilians Healing Cosmology of Curanderismo/Shamanic practices, medicinal plants from the amazonian jungle and domestic herbs as well the use of divination, blessings and folklore magic.

In 2008 I arrived in Las Vegas, '“YES, Las Vegas”, and felt the wave of enthusiasm in the yoga world with vinyasa power yoga by Baron Baptist & bikram yoga by Bikram Choudhry. I dove in to yoga wholeheartedly.

I found Kundalini practices that rocked my world and awakened a new level of power and presence. I practiced every moment I could and soon began teaching.
